Doilies
This is what I did this weekend - made a cushion cover from cotton off-cuts and doilies salvaged from the car boot sale. (I also ate a huge and sumptuous Valentine's breakfast cooked by L'Usband.)
What did you do?

Car boot sale revenge.
In my life the monthly local car boot sale is a high point - something I look forward to with the happy anticipation of a 4-year-old the week before Xmas. Kinda sad, really.
As building construction is heavily (and unhealthily) on my mind these days, the first thing I saw (and bought) was this miniature set of construction vehicles:
I am going to build a tiny house. And then I am going to stomp on it.
Kinda sad, really.

Griffonage
I've always wanted to write beautifully. But even when I try it turns into an illegible scrawl.
Art journal page with collaged note (on Gnosticism - I think) which I wrote in 2006.

Decluttering - A Lesson.
Remember this? For years I kept them, waiting for the right project. But the right project didn't appear. And so, in a bold and brave move, I got rid of them. A few hours after I did, Freshly Found alerted me to this link. So I slowly started collecting again, until I could make this ...
(which hangs on my studio wall). And now I want my big bag full of tp inners back! I want to make a huge screen for my kitchen window which is now looking out on the brick wall of the neighbour's house instead of the beautiful sea.
Oh, somewhere there is a lesson to be learnt. I am just not sure what it is ...

The Draw!
Congratulations, Nathalie - you have won the Three Roses chain. And congratulations L'Atelier - you have won the Sea pin. Please send me your postal addresses - and I'll pop them in the post next week.
Happy Weekend everyone - I wish you all the fragrance of roses and/or a fresh sea breeze!
