I could have done with a hat like this in the rain today! It has a Sou'westerish feel about it to me. Someone out there will carry it off beautifully though :o)
stephanie - You're right, it could be carried off by the right person at the right occasion! kendalee - Yes, I had in mind one of those oilcloth thingies worn by serious fishermen - only I forgot the name. It is also a little nun-nish, don't you think? Could be paired nicely with a black habit and huge crucifix. please sir - I must say I always feel so conspicuous when I wear a hat, I'm not sure why. Maybe because it is not really common to wear one anymore, unless you're out in the sun?
i must confess, i have a hat quite like this in only a bit smaller proportions. and it is definitely difficult to find the right way and day to include it.
