Tiny Portraits

A while ago Sarah (clever creator of dolls and beautiful drawings) of Circles of Rain sent me a little journal. A teeny journal - the pages measure 1 cm x 1.8 cm. I decided to fill it with portraits - some of people I know, others imaginary.

The first journal I've finished! So that is the secret - keep it small.

Hi Anairam - I'm back!! Sarah left me a comment to say that there had been a problem with blogger, so for once it wasn't me!!! I love the new member of your family - if only I lived near enough to babysit! Your tiny journal is fabulous - howe I wish I could draw. Must get busy on my weekword entry - I seem to be all behind this week!! Love, Anne

That is so lovely! Well done for finishing it too" I have one of these left, I have used one in a thing I made that I didn't ever post about and I have one unused. You have inspired me to get it out!

Hi, Just back about the sumac. I don't know if it keeps-Andy could not answer that one. But he did say that it is used in salads and stews and is used as a replacement for lemons when they are out of season. it does smell quite lemony and sour.

Great advice for finishing projects in general - keeping it small! Trouble is I usually need my glasses for small now!

Dear Suzi, Could there be resemblance to the family tree? The detail as always quite amazing! Great for xmas stocking filler or garland!

I came to Respond to your comment about sashiko - I LOVE sashiko. I mostly just do samplers.
But then I saw this post...the web is a terrible distraction, filled with hundreds of daily temptations but this little book you made is the most covetable object I've seen. I do, I covet it!

LOVE These. They are like little secrets. And to look at them you have to hold them close, I love that, so personal(:
