Marikana.

I made a series of three etchings about the strike and subsequent shootings at Lonmin mine, Marikana, on the 16th of August 2012. Thirty-four miners were killed on the day, and a further 13 people on both sides of the dispute died.

WOW! Your work , amazing as always , the last one took my breath away. Humans are such a sad lot. Love how you have names honored on crossed strips. Really good work, yet again, Madame, straight from a broken heart.

Anairam, thank you for sharing, something that I know you feel so deeply about, as many of us do. But you did something about it. Your work keeps the memory of these men and this time alive.
