Isn't it weird ...

... how different the world looks when you've got a head cold? It is like looking through one of those glass bricks.

Oh, wait, I did look at this through a glass brick ...

This week I plan to:
1) see my nephew & his wife who are both working on a musical production at Artscape
2) get my laptop back, if necessary by force ...
3) start reading Jose Saramago's The History of the Siege of Lisbon - I snuck out today to the library to get it. Thanks, aimee, for the suggestion!
4) use my new white gel pen in my art journal - I still get excited by little discoveries like these.

force works! our desktop blew up again last week, and we demanded that a live body show up at our house to fix the wretched thing. and someone did!

curious to hear what you think of the book. every sentence is packed with power and meaning, like most of his works, so it can take a while to read - but the effort is worth it.

Sorry you are feeling like a glass brick head- the only thing I like about cold and flu is taking THERAFLU night time- Tastes terrible but the snooze is sooo worth it! I hope you have a similar remedy. I am typing with greeny blue hands- felting a thing and the dye was not fixed. I look like I died a few days ago...
Snuggle in, read your new book- take it easy and get well soon.
Thinking of you with hot toddy wishes!

I hope your cold goes soon! I only discovered white gel pens recently and I love them. I couldn't find them in any shops though so the trusty internet saved the day. I like the glass brick photo.

Oh my friend, I hope the glass brick disappears soon - it makes the view interesting but is quite a heavy thing to carry in your head! Sounds like a lovely week ahead... x

aimee - Yes, I suspect that when one puts one's foot down, things start to happen! I haven't started the book yet - but it is lying on my bedside table, right under my reading glasses!

linda sue - Oh, you beautiful green-blue apparition! You always manage to make me cheer up and feel better!

sarah - Thank you! Aren't those pens just delicious? I was quite surprised to find them at my local art/craft shop - we always seem to be so far behind!

kendalee - Thank you dear! Already the glass brick is feeling lighter and lighter - weeeee - I am feeling quite light-headed!

esti - Thanks! I always find a little list of nice things to do cheers me up!

lenorevermore - You are back! Lovely - it so good to see people come back again after a little rest - I will be popping in soon!
