This spread in my art journal feels unfinished; I am sure I will still add to the fragments on this page. The line is from the poem A Fragment by Anne Bronte. (This week's word was chosen by Nathalie; other participants are listed here).
This is SWELL! I don't know how you could possibly improve upon it...unless you just have some nervous energy to unload ...I have the same problem with this pincushion I am making now- add more and a little more some more colour some dotsand swirls ...can't stop! Are we made up of fragments or is that what we become? I don't know...
Thanks for the reference to Anne Bronte and her poem. I looked it up and re-read it. Interesting how young women in every age of history enjoy hearing songs over and over. How love and admiration for THAT GUY can tie one in knots and leave one fragmented. Nice work. Love the phrase "the speaking eye." Your work is finished here.
I love the simple palette and the text-it has a 1950s feel or film noir or something like that anyway. I really like it! It illustrates the word very well.
