The Dressmaker's Dummy Doll

Inspired by Sarah (of Circles of Rain) who makes the most amazing dolls, I decided to try my hand at one. Here is the Dressmaker's Dummy ...

Dressmaker, because I covered her with torn strips of old dressmaking patterns.
Dummy, because the poor thing's head is as empty as the detergent bottle top it is made of.
I guess I am a bit weird - I actually quite like her as she is, so I've decided not to paint or draw a face on her - what do you think?

Have a lovely weekend, everyone! Let weirdness rule ...

I agree. No face necessary. Although she has no features, she certainly has character and houding... Love it!

I love it too. Are you going to made a man too? Or children?

Heh. There are all kinds of reasons to leave the lady as she is. She already has a lot of class.

I would definitely leave her as she is. Amish dolls don't have any features on them, so if anyone thinks your doll is weird, you can say you were following the Amish tradition!!

I really like it too! Maybe you could draw different faces on paper and stick them on your doll according to how she feels.

I agree, let weirdness rule!

I like her too, all natural, without concealing, what you see is what you get, humble...weird...(:

She is great! I agree too about the paint-I had the same thing when I made the papier mache doll. I like the effect of the dressmaking pattern you used! Is she going to get a companion?
tateeted is my wv-sounds like a technique to do with sewing somehow.

She is wonderful. Definitely leave her perfectly plain.

What a lovely, quirky little doll! I love it!
And don't paint her. She's fine as she is!
I totally agree with what you said about the weirdness! Lets all be weird ... and no one should be ashamed of it!
