Knit.

One of the prezzies my sons gave me for Xmas is this lovely book:

I have just completed one of the projects - a dishcloth.

I tripled up the 100% unbleached cotton yarn to get a chunkier look. Rather yummy, I think. Actually, I don't think I will use it to wash the dishes just yet ...

Very nice! I am knitting yet another scarf-lovely coloured wool. I like the activity of knitting but am not very good at it, hence scarves!

Oh that is pretty- I think you should wear it for a while, then hang it on the wall and years from now, when it is tired of being admired use it for the dishes.

From small beginnings, sweaters grow!! As well as dishcloths, you can use the cotton to knit facecloths - lovely to use with a scented soap!

That is an outstanding bit of knitting. I like how you've chunked the design so the cloth is more dense.

Ooh, nice to know she has a new book out! I love her books, the textures are always great.

Knitted dishcloths really are great for washing dishes - once you start using them, you can never have enough.

Forgot to tell you that the wonderful art card arrived from you in the mail. It was such fun to receive! I posted a picture of it on an earlier post. Loved the added sparkle. THANKS!

Very nice!

If I had done it, I think it would end up on the kitchen wall as art. :-)

I wouldn't use this cloth on the dishes either Anairam.

On the other hand, things are best used, not simply displayed unless they are pieces of art, and even art can be used.

I'm new to your blog, Anairam from Maggie May's blog. Pleased to meet you here.

it's gorgeous! and it looks so thirsty - you'd better keep it far away from the water if you don't want to use it on the dishes!

Glad you liked the card! I can't remember wich one I sent to you-there were a few-all from photos taken this year and played around with in photoshop! Yes-I have trouble choosing what to do too!

I am back again-this time to say thanks for your lovely card which came this morning! Love the added glitter and the professional editing you have done of your mistake! It is waiting to go into my new journal which I have been preparing for ages and am about to start! Happy new year! x
