Hope #5.

Page 5: At the bottom of the box one small thing remained  -  hope. The thing with feathers, that perches in the soul ...
(In his book, Menschliches, Allzumenschliches, Nietzsche has a particularly bleak interpretation of the Pandora myth, and the 'gift' of hope.)

Hope (cotton, embroidery thread, fabric offcuts, photocopy, vilene)

One of my favorite Dickenson poems. Nice work, Anairam.

These works are all stunning- Incredible really! I do not know what vilene is but I should find out SOON and try it- maybe try it on my face and get a whole new look! What do you reckon? I have always tried to figure out feather stitches but never sussed it- yours look fabulous. I will come over for tea and you can show me (in my dreams)...
