Isn't Life Great?

I'm in love with the whole wide world today. I just feel great - I had a lovely email from a blogfriend which made me smile and smile, and I had a fantastic 6 km walk to Fish Hoek and back, and I saw a whale in the distance, and L'Usband took me for a lovely curry lunch at Bihari, and I finished my book, and I finished this journal page ...

I have just finished watching the BBC's Darwin's Dangerous Idea, and what used to be a pink and doodly page in my art journal evolved to the above. (Collage: image of Darwin from Scientific American, my doodles, cutouts from a plastic shopping bag. Words are from the Introduction to Darwin's The Origin of Species.)

It IS nice to get a day once in a while where everything just works for you. Especially when you dive into an art project with high hopes and it does not turn into mud or trash. I really like the detail of all the doodles. Putting pink and science together made it fun. Wish I could have gone on the walk with you. It sounded like a fine one esp with the whale sighting. The curry ...not so much.

So glad your day was good! And I love that name Fish Hoek-every time you mention it it makes me smile. I love exotic names from abroad-Murder Creek is another one from today!

I feel it from here! Enjoy every minute, every molecule of this lovely mood and long may it continue.

I am just LOVING your doodles Anairam - honestly you are a doodlersupremo. I think I need to pay my doodles more attention - maybe they'd blossom and grow too, instead of being made to feel inferior and hide because I always associate them with boring meetings and my guilt at doing them instead of concentrating on the meeting?
