Moleskine doodles

I have been in a doodling frame of mind recently ...

Nice doodles! I like the detail combined with freedom. I often used doodling in college classes to make it appear that I was furiously taking notes. It was useful as a tool to keep me awake in class as well. Yours look like they have a better future that mine.

Doodle, I even like the word. Doodling is meditative and can reach inside of you because it is rarely taken seriously, and grab something like "doodle doll"- free her...and free your mind.
I doodled my way through school- the doodles always brought back to mind what the lecturer was saying at the precise moment I made a squiggle- doodles, not words worked for me and my quirky memory.
If I am listening to something while felting the same thing happens, This pin cushion is "NPR wait wait don't tell me"...this one is "Law and Order". Doodle on, Sister- all is glorious!

Came back to ask you if moleskin was a kind of paper. Sometime you can tell me when you visit. But I must agree with Linda Sue that my doodles or artwork pull up memories of what I was listening to at the time of creation. One of my fav background programs is ALSO NPR Wait, Wait. hmmm weird minds thing alike. Script z's DO look like sleep.

I love doodling and like Linda Sue, I love the word too. It IS a frame of mind. Once you start, it's hard to stop.

Doodling does help you to remember, especially if you are a kinaesthetic learner. I love doodling too and always do it during meetings if I am not actively doing anything-really helps concentration-apart from when people start to talk to you about your doodles!
I like all of these, particularly the doodle doll-such life! Thanks for the update on the films etc and glad you liked the look of Danny Gregory!

hmmm, i looked around your blog but there is no way to contact you other than through a comment it seems.
so here goes - first, thank you for your recent comment. there are no words to adequately express what it meant to me. it is due to the steady (and invaluable) support of readers like yourself (and maybe just 1 or 2 others) that has given me the gumption to dare pursue my heart's desire, which is to not only drawdrawdraw, but to feel legitimacy through or for my drawings. the "hire me" link is entirely new (just making that thrilled me to pieces), and if i knew who to address a letter to, i'd be shipping off my portfolio asap. managing editor, fashion editor, who? do i send a physical portfolio, digital? i'm lost. i sound dense, but ... well, no excuse.
drawing makes me so happy. it's the only think i'd wish for myself - to do it professionally. if nothing ever comes of it even, just having your enthusiasm (and your participation/readership) adds so much. do do much.

Dear friend I hope that everyone in your family is well and you don't have too many worries. It is a hard way to live.

i come back to this post, and your "laziness" doodle and your "leaf" doodle are really wonderful.
