Weekword: Charm

This week's word chosen by Linda Sue (whose brain and talent never fail to amaze and delight) reminded me of a poem:

A Charm invests a face
(Emily Dickinson)
A Charm invests a face
Imperfectly beheld.
The Lady dare not lift her Veil
For fear it be dispelled.

But peers beyond her mesh,
And wishes, and denies,
Lest Interview annul a want
That Image satisfies.

Collage with photocopy, drawing, gift wrap & tulle based on photo by John French of a hat and veil designed by Erik (1950).

Other particpants can be found here.

Have a great weekend everyone! Be charming ...

Reminds me of another Dickenson line: "For only gossamer my gown,
My tippet only tulle." Is the tulle in your work actual fabric over the drawing, over the gift wrap? Very imaginative. Yes Linda Sue is amazing. She invited me in on the charm, but I am almost finished with my Side Trips. Next time.

She is so pretty, "dainty" one might say and very charming. She does not poo nor does she need deodorant because she is perfect in every way.JUST LIKE YOU!
I love your illustration, as always.

I love your header.

And yes the little boy on the bear isn't it peaceful.

Even though Sheldon is in the middle of a bad place I like to think that when he is sleeping I see him like this.

Love Renee xoxo

I agree with Renee...The header is beautiful...What is fra(a)ing,,,is it making love, or playing or something like that? I like this word as it appears on your header. I like this image of 'charm'....other things caught my eyes here today...very nice images....
Thanks for your last comment....You really got into 'it' and I enjoyed your feedback..I identify with it....I also create mostly from an "average mood"...Thank you.
