New Acquisitions #3

Yes, this is not useful or necessary, but oh, so beautiful! And they last for ages.  I got four proteas at the Porter market (in Tokai Forest).

That beautiful plant would be exotic and wonderful here. I understand it is a national flower for South Africa. It would NOT survive outside in our weather. But I've seen them in stores as imports from California and Hawaii.

I would consider it useful for the spirit and necessary for the soul.

Haha, fancy dress artichoke indeed. That's very funny. I have a mountainful of proteas in the Boland. They are so very beautiful.
