Yippee yippee yay - my new MOOC has started - an introductory 7-week course at Pennsylvania State University. For our first week's assignment we have to do an artwork to introduce ourselves to the rest of the class members (55,000 of them, I believe ...)
This is my introduction (sans the Artist's Statement, which has to accompany each submitted work):
This is Me (recycled tissue papers, proofread pages, newspaper, printed pieces, Indian calendar pages, cotton gauze, mutton cloth, acrylic ink and paint, embroidery thread).

Oh! How stunning! I love all the textures.
Congrats on taking the MOOC challenge. I'm impressed with your craving for learning. You certainly produced an unusual and unique piece. I really like the colors and texture. You've inspired me. I may have to check out some MOOC options.
Oh Yes! I would recognize you anywhere! Very nice piece without artist statement! The blah blah blah part of art can be rather tedious. I like " this is me" best of all!
Woah my friend, it has been months since I last visited your gorgeous space (or any other, including my own) and such a feast I've just enjoyed catching up! You HAVE been busy... doing, seeing and reading and creating lots and lots of beautiful stuff. I feel like I've just visited a very special gallery exhibition. What a pleasure!
P.S. I LOVE this piece - it actually does look like you.
It actually looks quite successful to me! I like it!
The whole tidal-wave-nightmare-thing must run in the family, because I have it at least once every 2 weeks! Either a tidal wave or a giant bermduda triangle whirlpool... Jeez, I get the cold sweats just thinking about it!!
