A Change.

From this ...

(ugly still-unpainted wall and yucky torn plastic)

to this ...

(Anairam's version of pojagi - made from an old sample book of discontinued curtain fabrics and a few other bits and pieces.)

Inspired by annekata's post on pojagi here.

I just love annekata's projects and informative posts - she has awakened in me an interest in sewing by hand. It is incredibly meditative. So much so that at times I even forget about The Neighbour's Horrible House.

I've been looking at your pojagi now for over 10 minutes straight. What a beautiful way of converting an undesirable view into a wonderful new focal point. Ha! What a stunning piece you've created.
Love everything about it - the hand stitching, soft colors, fabric choice and little bits of lace you incorporated.

This is just beautiful! That is why I knit - because I find the movement of the needles and feel of the fiber between my fingers to be very meditative.

A fine improvement on the view. Good work...no beautiful work.

Your blind is lovely - and so much better for your peace of mind to look at it instead of the ugly house! You should have a try at traditional patchwork - piecing over papers, sitting stitching little tiny stitches is very soothing!!

It's beautiful - I keep coming back to your post to just look at it a bit longer. I think I'm going to dig out those worn linen trousers I've been keeping so long - I know what to do with them now!! Thank you, for the inspiration..
