Being square

I have been crocheting granny squares like a woman possessed ... I never realized they were so easy! (See the instructions here.) I have decided to use them to make a scarf. The purple, lilac and grey wool are leftovers from other projects, and the raspberry I bought new.

Oh, to think of all those wasted years when my granny wanted to teach me to crochet, and I thought it was SO square ...

Oh my heart is POUNDING with Crochet delight! I crocheted like crazy in my teen years, making orange and brown accessories for my mom and dad's caravan! [Don't say anything!] For years my crochet hook lay dormant, but I am so enjoying using it again. I have to keep myself in check, otherwise I could crochet some crazy things again!
The scarf is going to be wonderful!

Love the vibrant colors! I used to crochet as a kidlet in grade school, while my teacher read stories after recess....but nothing more than a chain. Now, I'm dying to learn how! :>

yes that yarn is *evilily* addictive, and will make you stay up way after your bedtime and cause you to groan in despair when you have to go to work without your crochet hook in hand, and wrestle away all desire to do anything else
be prepared

I made some granny squares last year, newer mangde to make them into something though. Thinking about making pillowcases or something, I think I made around 60 or something. Looking forward to see you progress and what it turns out as:)

I LOVE the colours! I've never crocheted (not at all co-ordinated enough) but I always like how crocheted things look and that's going to be one lovely scarf!
