Excellent!! I think you should change the name though - these are definitely not bad copies, but rather 'inspired by' ....

ps the word verification is unraw - does this mean cooked!!

I am totally with frayedattheedge. Not bad copies but inspired by. Putting the work on a printed page gives such character to your art.

I especially like what you have done with the first one-the way you changed the blue woman to make her whole again!

Oh my I love these! And I Love the two images together. Mostly i love that you look to others for inspiration and that you are learning a great deal from a wide range of artists, and on top of it you share your process. However young lady you need to stop with the bad copy thing!!!(:
It might be fun to try painting with acrylics on the text and letting some show through and making some disappear. just a thought(:

oh yay!! back to your book doodles! i think of them as little springboards from the picture to your take on it. love them.

Thank you all! Regarding the name - you will notice that I have stopped calling them Bad Copies, and now refer to them as BCs. So the B could really stand for anything. Some days I feel it stands for Beautiful, other days Bold, and unfortunately sometimes for Below Average. But never Bad anymore!

These are just the greatest. You made me realize in this moment that I have a fear of drawing in books, like it's just wrong or something! I am going to face that fear today!!! Thank you for your continued inspiration.

i love that you use old books to do your BCs. I also love your interpretations of others work. You interpretation of the first one is almost better than the original.
