Red was your Colour ...

I played hooky today. I am supposed to work on a book (I can only hope that Svetlana is not reading this post, because it is her book.) But the weather was absolutely divine - and it is almost winter! So we were out and about, had lunch and a glass of wine, sat in the sun, and I took some photographs.

top row: pot with succulent in The Meeting Place, monster-toed tree in the parking lot, fire hose
middle row: cushion, brake light, shop roof
bottom row: no entry, emergency exit, post box where I posted a little something for someone who lives just 14 inches away ...
(Title from the poem by Ted Hughes.)

Lovely redness. I feel that red is like a neutral colour. It just has to be around to make worthwhile aesthetic living !

Wow- i very nearly got a nose bleed looking at your reds! A little red goes a long way- it is like an exclamation point!!!!!! Too many- too much- and it gets lost in it's own drama.
I am on the mend from the resperatory thing- Stella and Lizzie also took home a bit of damaged lung, as did every one on the flight out of there. What a mess!
Stay well!

These are awesome! I never would have thought to include things like an emergency sign or a light on a vehicle (car?).

A stolen day is so wonderful when you are supposed to be doing something else! You will probably be oh so much more efficient tomorrow because of it.

I really like the tree and tail light!

I agree about the day off-especially if the weather is good! Like the reds and the scary tree!

HA! This is Svetlana! I do read this! Red is the very nice communist colour and the fotos are very nice. But I am indeed sad and depressing that you having the holliday and not working on my Book. This is not good, no. As the Great Stalin sayd: "Workers must work. Too bad if they do not like it."
