Wine with Purple Feet ...

1. The wine I guess is more red than purple, but I so wanted to use the line from Neruda's poem as my title!
2. Lavender in my garden - right next to the front door.
3. One of my favourite visually inspiring books - Christian Lacroix's Diary of a Collection
.
4. Purple gauzy shoulder bag from Sweden - a gift from my sister.
5. One of my favourite rings - purple unpolished amethyst and silver - bought in Buenos Aires.
6. Those who know the story of my Purple Triffid will be relieved to see that I have toned it down and made it more socially acceptable by folding over the scary pointy leaves and sewing them down.
7. Lilac Greta Garbo hat all the way from Sweden - also a gift from my darling sister. (I am wearing it tonight to a play at the Masque Theatre.)
8. Mohair wrap given to me by L'Usband - from Prince Albert in the Karoo (the wrap, not the husband).
9. Little flower in my garden - no idea what it is but I call it the buddha flower because it grows near one of my buddhas ...

Have a great, wild and passionate purple weekend, dears! Drink a glass of purpley wine. Be happy. xxx Anairam

(Title from Ode to Wine by Pablo Neruda)

Anairam! LOVE purple! When i moved to the Pacific Northwest everything was purple from the constant haze and moisture in the air- purple haze- oh yeah...I remember that! I am still unwell...felling like last years bird nest at the top of a ragged tree...hope these meds kick in soon! Still posting but feeling cranky- is it obvious? Loved your shopping story and you always can be first from now on!

The Triffid is tamed! Poor Triffid. :) I think purple is my favourite day of colour week and I love ALL your choices today. Definitely some purpley wine on my agenda... Enjoy the play and have a lovely weekend!!!

That is funny! I have resisted the chocolate so far(but only because I was finishing another bar!) I have now polished of the cherries. I was surprised I had any purple clothes. I have also got an old purple jumper that was my first ever market 2nd handpurchase when I was a student. I love that jumper, it was worth every penny of its 50p! Now the cats sleep on it.
I see I wrote the word verification in the comment by mistake, I wondered where it had gone! Have a good weekend-I had a bit of purpley wine by the way!

I'm clueless...what is a triffid? it's pretty, but I have no idea what it is or why you felt the need to tame him/her.

Oh am I longing to have a sister ring to yours - I collect jewelry like that - chunky, lovely, natural stones. I am honored for your visit - and I am loving the photos. Tell me more about that shawl - I knit and it looks just yummy and soft. Have fun at the theater.

Beautiful woolen wrap and I love the hat from Sweden! Good for you for being spunky and elegant enough to wear it!
