Doubt

Inspired by these lines from Dorothy Parker's poem (Prophetic Soul):

Because your eyes are slant and slow,
Because your hair is sweet to touch,
My heart is high again; but oh,
I doubt if this will get me much.

Is your journal a book or made from a book? I like the way the words show through.
District Nine is not out here yet-I just liked the advert!

yes, is this from a journal of yours? doubt and dumbfoundedness seems to be riddled throughout my life these days
i am at a loss at to why some of my skill set so appeals and the rest is seemingly not negotiable in these days of financial strife

That's a good use of an old unwanted book-it looks good. My birds are just my latest thing I have decided to do! I have got loads more reay to be stuffed and painted. I am enjoying making them. I am going to try to sell them-you never know!

You are a creative and talented person, no doubt about it.

oh! why do I adore thee? because you know EXACTLY what I am in doubt about! yes, i cannot believe that with all that i possess, plumbers with too tight pants make more than you or i combined on any hour, that when a spare job is offered, it is for manual labor (ugh) and that i am sadly considering going back to school to get a "confirmed" skill set in the hopes that i can make money from things people at present just want me to do for free in my spare moments since i make it look all easy and pretty
where did i go wrong?

Oh this is wonderful! Great colours and drawings.
Thanks for sharing and this Parker poem (as so many of hers are) is hilarious -- but barbed.

Dorothy really knew how to turn a phrase, didn't she? I love this page and the verse that inspired it. Doubt seems to be my middle name right now. But I'm thinking of changing it by proxy... just haven't settled on one to replace it yet :)
