Stay Calm - Life Happens

Here is an idea for a Hollywood movie script. Lipsticked and coiffed 1950's housewife, upon opening her car door, is suddenly abducted by aliens in a biplane, and dropped in the middle of a desert somewhere in Africa, where she wakes up transformed, clutching a rusty tin can, her (now) only possession. A voice booms from the sky: "Stay Calm - Life Happens."

So much of what we have or don't have in life is an accident of birth. Not earned or deserved, as we so like to believe ...

Now that is really something to think about. REALLY think about. Stuff we people with food and shoes try hard NOT to think about. Especially when the media tells us OVER AND OVER that the newest shiny thing will certainly make us happy no matter how long it takes to pay for it.

life happens. thank you for the reminder. at this time of year we tend to forget these things.

This year, I haven't bought presents for my great-nieces and great-nephews, who are loved and cared for and have more toys than they ever play with. Instead I have given money to the Red Cross humanitarian appeal - to help people who have been given the rusty tin can kind of life.

Not earned or deserved or if you have Jesus as your saviour.

I love this post, my favourite of the week.

People can be so ridiculous that they think somehow they have done things better and that is why their lives are better.

Bullshit, you nailed it.

Love Renee xoxoxoxo

Yup- life happens - shite happens- and when there is no more life- nothing happens- or so I am told. I do love these pages Ms. creative genius! Have you put Snous to work yet- being cute on the street with a tin can to collect wishes.
