Hello! Tomorrow I visit my granny mother in Birsk which is very nice town. The Great Popova painted the picture of Birsk and that is now in New York! Can you believe! I will make the granny squares with her. I mean my granny. I hope I find the parking in Birsk! ha ha!
Linda Sue - I can see you are not one for following the rules!
kendalee - I also laughed! - and I swear I saw an old lady peeking out of the window as I took the pic ... or maybe I imagined that bit ...
anonymous - Yep, I am quite afraid of old ladies with shotguns!
tiny red - I did! (know, & check out the giveaway) I entered IMMEDIATELY!
svetlana - Popova's Birsk picture is quite an interesting one - an excellent example of Cubo-Futurism! (PS I had to google to write that sentence...)
freshly found - Yes! It was in front of a house in a little street just round the corner from Wynberg's Chelsea area - where I had breakfast - this time at The Orchid Cafe. Obviously the owner gre rather tired of shoppers/eaters parking in front of her house. (Why do I keep on thinking that sign was put up by a woman?)
