T-A-D #20 Mini Magazine Journals

I have now finally thrown out the two magazines that I used to make all those papery valentine projects - but before I did, I used them to make mini journals. I tore the mag apart at the binding (to keep a thickness of about 20-24 pages) and then I cut small booklets, about 6-and-a-half by 8-and-a-half cms.
I made them quite small because I wanted to get a background for each page, without being able to see what the picture/advert that is on the page, is actually about. Does that make sense?

This one is called "a book of scribbles" ...
and I wrote and made drawings on each page (or pasted bits of paper), sometimes using the background ...
... to guide me.
I didn't intend to make a story, just went along and scribbled & drew & scribbled & drew ....
but somehow ...
a kind of story started emerging ... Oh dear, I wonder how it will all end?
(PS How do you like my tattoo ?- I drew it myself, and it says BLOG!)

These are fabulous, I love love your drawings. Particularly the lady in the 4th photo, with the heart. Most elegant! I so want that tattoo, hohoho.

There are beautiful mini journals. I wish that you could collect all the work you do and make a kind of exhibition, you will definitely rock!!
I liked the tattoo as well.

SO COOL! These are just awesome and I LOVE the security of a warm pistol in my handbag! Especially when HE promised diamonds but do we see any? NO...So clever these little journals! I have a magazine that I got in 2006 with the intention of doing something with it- have I? Not likely- I should just send it to you.

Those magazines have been elevated through your creativity to wonderful new heights... This is GREAT stuff!!!

The first question that sprang to mind for me was whether she might be dropping 'round to her neighbour for a cocktail (with her little pistol-heavy bag) to discuss (very calmly of course) the issues of buildings-blocking-views and cable-conduits?

Love the tattoo! There's a great site (will see if I can find it again for you) that will transform any design into a temporary tattoo. I think it's the way to go... No needles involved :)

I think you should turn that blog tattoo into a blog badge and then take orders!

These little books are brilliant. I want to make some! I love the way you have drawn on the pages. It is interesting how a story is emerging.

heather - I am glad you like them. I can actually only draw about two different things, so that makes my artistic output a bit limited.

Khaled KEM - That is very sweet of you! I would love to rock! And have an exhibition! (Well, no, not really, exhibitions are much too much hard work ...)

Tiny Red - There are a few pages left - so yes, I am also interested to see what will happen!

lindasue - Oh, you must do something with that magazine. Right now! (and that doesn't include baking 11 loaves of bread). Anyway, you don't use magazines when you bake bread, do you? I am no baker, but I don't think so. Oh, goodness, I am wandering. It is 1.30 am after all.

kendalee - Ha! What an idea! What a good idea after the latest email we've had from Mr Neighbourly Builder! Let me know if you find that tattoo site again - I would love to design one and have it made up. I must post my tattoos (as soon as TAD is finished) - I've had three different ones in the past two weeks!

aimee - Yes, I have so much junk and NOW is the time to use it all!
Well, some of it, anyway.

freshly found - What a great idea!

sarah - I am so glad you like it - it is actually a great creative exercise - because one can easily fill it in a day with doodling, and I love to see how each little page inspires me ...

Hi there! Thanks for the comment on my last TAD. I, too, am a little relieved it's all over! I just wanted to let you know I chose one of the images from this book as one of my favorite images for this site: http://imgfave.com/lizzard/page:2 (that's my account). If you'd prefer that I didn't, let me know and I can remove it. :)
Thanks and I can't wait to see your next creations.
