Paper Project - One Fainting Robin ...

Remember this? Well, I've finally made my version. Unfortunately the fabric birds will have to wait for my Fabric Projects list. But I have used, in the meantime, quite a nice plastic robin (purchased at the carboot sale, where else, for the princely sum of R1,which is about 15c).

I also have these little paper birds which I quite like.

When they occupy the bird house, the red robin sits on my I Love Blogging hanger.

The Fainting Robin
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
(Emily Dickinson)

How adorable is this?! And I'm also so glad to see the mobile still in residence... The robin looks very cute on it!

Love this idea! I see many possibilities creeping into my brain...Paper houses and paper babies, paper husbands and paper pooches. I think I am having an idea attack! Thanks for this post! Christmas is coming and the box of recycle paper is getting fat.

esti - Didn't she write some beautiful poems? And this one is so simple, yet profound ...
eilandkind - I am so glad you like the house and birds and poem!
freshly found - I am really copying rather than creating - but I did add my own little touch, didn't I?
kendalee - Oh, the mobile is really just there for my cute little robin to perch on - it's got a little spring under its tail so it can clip on!
linda sue - That sounds great! I am hoping you will show us your paper babies and pooches!
