Well, not quite, but we've had two beautiful sunny, warm days in a row, so my hopes are up! Yesterday we went to Kalkbay for ice cream and I took these pictures:
And today I designed a new salad in celebration of the coming summer ...
Mixed salad leaves, rosa tomatoes, goats cheese, leftover couscous, toasted slivered almonds, olive oil and lots and lots of lemon juice!

I can't believe the color of that water - so beautiful. And that salad looks de-lish.
stephanie - The salad was very yummy indeed. But I have eaten so much salad this winter that I am afraid come summer I will be all saladed out!
Yay for summer - I don't want it to end here!
please sir - Oh, I love summer - especially now that we live right next to the beach! But don't despair - winter also has its charms - a fire, hot chocolate with marshmellows, lovely woollen scarves and hats ... Although I must admit that our winters are actually more like 70% of summer days in the UK. So if your winters are really harsh all I can suggest is that you hold on to this thought: "This too shall pass"!
Our summer's about to end and it hasn't even happened yet... Grrr!!!
These pictures are gorgeous anairam! Really like the vertical and horizontal lines & different textures in the top one. Love the boats too - very evocative.
Kalkbay looks like a very good place to visit for ice-cream!
