I am thinking of Buenos Aires today. Firstly because I received an email from a very dear friend who moved to B A earlier this year. And secondly because I've just come back from a wonderful Chinese movie called Se, Jie (or Lust, Caution), directed by Ang Lee, and set in Hongkong and Shanghai during WWII. Yes, I know a connection with B A sounds weird. The reason the two connect, is that there are some beautiful pieces of tango music in the film. So, herewith two Buenos Aires interiors that I love, for the clutter, the details and the colour.

From the
Taschen book called
Buenos Aires Style.

These are just gorgeous! I thought the images looked familiar, then I realised I was browsing through this book at Exclusive Books recently :)
bronwyn - Oh, I love browsing at Exclusive Books! What a pity this one didn't go on their sale. (I did get a lovely Taschen book on Karl Blossfeldt at the EB sale though - I may post on it over the weekend or next. It has his exquisite botanical photographs from the early 1900's ...)
Those blue doors are exquisite!
