Life Speeds By Like A Dream ...

I would love a pavilion like this in my garden.

It is called the One Day Poem Pavilion.
The light falls through the perforations and at certain times of the year it will translate into different Sijo (Korean) poems.

Each poem consists of 5 lines with each line visible for about an hour or so ...

stephanie, karina and kendalee - I so love the idea, isn't it brilliant? And the slowness of it is what I like - that one can't just quickly "skim over it" (or whatever the visual equivalent is of "rattling it off" and "gobbling it up"); you have to wait for hours to read the whole poem. And maybe if the day was wrong (or the day was right but the sun wasn't shining) you've missed the poem. I like that aspect too.

A poem shelter! Great! I think we should make our own: Buy one of those cheap plastic beach shelters that look rather like this smart one, and punch holes to make your own poems. Will it work? C'mon anairam - try it and let us know.

That is truly amazing...I would also just love to have one in my garden...it would be sure to put you in a good mood and keep you feeling inspired. Even the partial poems are beautiful in themselves, simple words to spark off ideas and emotions.

eilandkind - Glad you like it!
anonymous - Good idea! I'm kind of thinking about an umbrella version, my own Personal Portable Poem Parasol, what do you think?
a cuban in london - Thanks for popping in, aaaah, I miss London!
bronwyn - Yes, it is amazing how just a word or a phrase can set one off on a whole exploratory journey, isn't it?

How delightful! You just have to be pensive and inspirational in a place like this!
