I love books. And bookshops.

As much as I love shoes and bags, if I ever have to choose, I'll spend my money on books. And my time in bookshops. My friend in Buenos Aires emailed me recently about this bookshop housed in an old theatre in Buenos Aires - El Ateneo, on Avenida Santa Fe. I will just have to visit!

OMG! That looks like heaven. Most people I know refuse to go into bookshops with me 'cos I can spend hours browsing at books. Pity books are sooooo expensive in SA!

bronwyn - Oh yes! I can totally identify with the browsing thing! The price issue is a problem, I agree, which is why I so often end up buying second-hand books. But I do lust after all those brand-new art and design books, I must admit ...

This is awesome... How could one not be uplifted and inspired in that setting, with all those books? Has made me think I should go and take some photo's in my local bookshop. Not quite as impressive, but pretty good... Again, you inspire me! :o)

Oh my goodness! That's the most wonderful bookstore I have ever seen. Imagine the hours and hours one could lose in all those books and in such a magnificent setting . . .
