Kalk Bay Textures

We had a great day in Kalk Bay - lunch here ...

where we watched waves crashing against the restaurant ...

followed by some walking to explore the textures and colours...

Then shopping up and down alleys ...

and here...

and here ...

(don't you just love the curtain from recycled plastic bottles and bottle caps?)
and finally to the icecream shop (Yay!!)

On the way back we said hello to a big, friendly dog waiting patiently for its owner ...
and admired this beautiful pink lady .

(And if you are good I'll show you what I bought tomorrow!)

I love the red and blues - especially that window.

You are so lucky to live by the sea!

I love the quirky eco-ness of the recycled plastics curtain. Though plastic is the worst trash ever and I hope recycling 'picks up' soon in all countries.

esti - The waves were quite huge that day - it doen't always look like that - but it does make one wish for holidays!
stephanie - Yes, red and blue are very seaside summery colours, aren't they!
kendalee - Kalk Bay is so lovely - you must visit soon!
quail - That curtain is so sweet. They are also made in white and see-through plastic - making for a more minimalistic look. About the recycling - yes, let's hope!
