That is a sinister image. I thought the same as Kendalee -the neigbour part! Have you seen that children's book 'Window' by Jeannie Baker? It is a great book. No words, all these amazing collages showing how a town develops.
OHHH he looks like trouble...ruthless, greedy, egotistical trouble. I love the drawing but that guy...not so much! I hope he steps in poo, falls down and gets rumpled....and then dead...Maybe on the next page he reforms, gets all organic and CO-opy... That is entirely up to the artist.I have very little love in my heart for developer man...
kendalee - Haha! No, I didn't really mean to portray The Neighbour! (I've never seen him in a suit or dark glasses, although he does use a cellphone.) I suppose it was really my response to i) seeing new developments popping up in a most distressing way all over CT; ii) a friend of mine joining a property development company, and iii) yes, I suppose our continuing neighbour/building problems simmering in my subconscious!
Sarah - I am glad that he looks sinister - he is meant to! (PS I do not know the book, but it sounds fascinating - I love children's books and always have a squiz at them when I visit a bookshop)
aimee - See my answer to kendalee above and linda sue below. You can make up any story about him, I guess!
linda sue - Oh, you are very funny, my dear! I would love to have you in a battle fighting on my side! He was not really meant to portray Neighbour Man (who I still believe is ultimately good and kind but whose mind has been befuddled temporarily by his grandiose plans for what seems to be a kind of rambling 3-storey palace or fort of some sort. Sigh) Yes, isn't it great what control artists and writers have over their subjects? The power! I think on the next page I'm going to have him chop down the tree and then a big old lightning bolt from the sky is going to ZAP him. Hehe.)

Or is that just another area of outstanding natural beauty we see disappearing under a pile of buildings??? :(
