Grey and Pink

Today has been grey - but a good kind of grey. I have been missing the rain all summer and today it came down steadily, soaking the earth and making the streets glisten. I went for a walk and the air was fresh and cool and the rain drops welcome on my face. And I got some pink flowers to celebrate the coming of winter ...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my dears!

Pretty flowers~

Deary me, you can have some of England's rain if you want. Take it, take it all! Then again I suppose the summer is more full on than here... We get like a week that's a bit too hot and then another 11 months of winter. Ohoho!

Sarah - They are quite pretty, aren't they? I don't often have pink flowers, I always feel they may be too girly for my space, but it actually looks really good with all the monochrome black and white and greys I have in my living room ...

aimee - Oh dear, poor aimee, I didn't mean to give you a fright! You must have wondered how you lost your entire spring and summer in one fell swoop ... I must say that the one thing about blogging that I love is how I've become aware of the seasons and seeing how bloggers in different parts of the globe prepare for, enter and celebrate each season. I don't travel much, and this is my way of vicariously experiencing all kinds of things!

kendalee - I hope you had a good one too! Here we have a long weekend - Monday is Freedom Day!

lisa - Yes, sometimes a bit of colour is good for the soul! No, he is not really Neighbour Man, although the building saga was definitely in my subconscious when I drew it. My reply to comments on my previous post explains a bit more ...

heather - You are very kind to offer me all your rain! But of course, like most selfish people, I want just enough to suit my own purposes, and the rest of it, well you can have it back ... But I have to admit, I always feel a bit guilty complaining about the weather, because we really have a good deal when compared to the UK...

Anairam, thanks for your lovely comment, and thanks for supporting Kassia & Figg. I too, felt joy at the autumn rain, and revelled in all the beautiful greys over the ocean, so different from the icy white greys of a Somerset winter.

esti - Unfortunately I'll have to throw them out tonight - they have started drooping and are dropping their petals in a most distressing manner!

african vanielje - I am so glad you enjoy greys too, so few people do, and actually it is a beautiful "colour" with so many hues ... I can't wait to do a brekkie at K&F again - I love those french toasties of yours!
