Simon's Town Colours

I took these in Simon's Town yesterday. Obviously I am in need of colour. See also the lovely colours on Lisa's post here.

i love seeing colors around me, paying attention and looking carefully. good reminder.

oh, speaking of looking carefully, ha ha, on my skirt post, there are no poufs in the first picture. the first picture is just of the plain skirt i made, pre-poufs. the other pictures, with the various outfits, those have the pouf-ed skirt.

These colours are lovely and subtle, they make me feel warm and holiday like. I loved Lisa's colours too.
On the picture you commented on that is the white gel pen in action! I liked your idea of trying to paint those shadows too.
The word verification is naggend and yesterday I got deadend. It is such a shame that I can't use some of them to win scrabble!

I LOVE these photographs Anairam - so beautifully abstract! The colours and shapes are gorgeous. They'd look great framed up and would make lovely souvenirs for people visiting Simonstown...

Amazing how a little colour can make one so happy isn't it?

Your photos are beautiful - any one of them could stand alone as art on my/any wall that is for sure. Very soft and simple. I just totally gunked up some cut out paper girls with too much this and that- I don't know when to quit- your post is refreshing- easy on the eyes and my cluttered brain.
I am too old and undesireable to be chased around the gondolla but I could do the chasing- give them a taste of their own behaviour...what do you think? Scare them a little...

I have enjoyed your glimpses of Obs and Simonstown! I am feeling like I need some more colour in my life lately too! It's all this Springish stuff coming from the Northern Hemisphere!

freshly found - Yes, I think one of the things that got me through last winter was seeing the spring and summer inspirations from the other half of the globe!

alexandra - Yes, they are all such lovely ice-creamy colours, aren't they?

editor - I often have to remind myself of looking properly. That is why I so love Keri Smith's How to be an Explorer of the World. I am doing the projects in it (slowly!) but each one teaches you to really look at a thing. Properly. (PS I went back and looked again and can now distinguish - but only by making the pics bigger - very faintly, the poufs! I obviously do need stronger glasses.)

sarah - White gel pens - I am in love with them! I posted an art journal page today where I made use of mine. PS I like the naggend word, haha, like in "he wished she would reach naggend".

lisa - That green is pretty cool! (and scary at the same time - is this the colour of people's aura when they are jealous, I wonder?)

kendalee - They are very summery pics, I think. I will keep them to look at when it is wintery and rainy here and the fog is rolling in from the sea ... they will remind me of ice cream and good summer times!

linda sue - I SO like those paper dolls! They look perfect like that! (PS I don't know about undesirable - I think your mind and wit and quirkiness are very desirable and you look pretty cool! But by all means do the chasing in your gondola - and videotape it for us!)
