wonderful- those birdies are all flying to see their little pals that made it to my studio- see the excitement in their faces? The one in the cage is very glad to be staying where she is pretty sure about breakfast every morning and a safe place to sleep...still she yearns for adventure...security wins. I LOVE this Anairam! Delightful!
I think it looks as if she is sending the bird out with the letter to join the others on whatever journey they take. I like the simplicity of your drawing on these pages.
i had to take that photo off my post - i'm so glad you said that it looked like a *s* (can't say it because they scare me) - i can't believe that i didn't see it at first!
linda sue - I like your interpretation - sometimes I am a little like the bird in the cage - desperate for adventure and longing to join the others, but security and a certain laziness of spirit win ... oh, dear ...
sarah - Also a lovely interpretation! The little bird will fly off with her letter in its beak - perhaps across the sea to where it is soon to be spring!
aimee - Oh, no!! I can't believe that you took the photo off - do you have a phobia? It is so funny - usually when I look at a post, I scan the photos immediately as I am a visual person first and foremost, and I kind of did a double-take and thought - how weird? Why would she put a photo of a *s* in amongst all those lovely pics? Then only did I realize they were bangles ... I really should get stronger glasses!
Letters are great, sent or received! Strange because I had a sense of the flying birds being drawn towards the one in the cage - perhaps by her song... SO glad to be seeing pages of your journal again. LOVE them.
