We visited the V&A Waterfront yesterday. Although a popular tourist attraction, it is really one of my least favourite places. It is such a flagrant temple of consumerism that I always feel slightly depressed after a visit. We've been there twice in the last 10 days and will be there again next week and the week after. This is because we are actually there for this. But yesterday I decided to go wandering a little, and price a SLR digital camera, specifically the Canon D400. Well, that was rather a nasty shock! So I opted to look for some takkies in stead. And I found these:
Aren't they beautiful? The Silver Rule has now changed to Silver Rules. (Okay!) So, to celebrate my find, I treated myself to one of these rose-flavoured truffles from Taylor and Finlay:
which came with a sweet little paper serviette like this:
And with roses on my mind, I noticed (& bought) a red plastic rose ring. Perfect for tango!
See how easy it is to be lured into the Temple and bow before the god of Stuff ....?

I must admit to enjoying a little trip to a Temple of consumerism every now and again! Looks like you had fun and I love the goodies you found in yours - 'SPECIALLY the silver takkies! Look like they just need to be worn with a silver and black beanie to top them off perfectly... x
kendalee: And what do you get when you are at The Temple? Share with us! PS I have NOT YET worn the silver takkies, it is raining buckets here, and somehow they seem a bit fragile. But soon, very soon ....
rose flavored truffles sound supremely delicious. cute ring!
kristy: Thanks for visiting my blog. The rose-flavoured truffle was delicious indeed - I admired it, photographed it, and then gobbled it up. PS I hopped over to your site - and must say that I really love that white shell ring!
