Stripes

Today is the end of the colour week project - the final topic is stripes. Unfortunately I had quite a lot of work so had to find all my photographic inspiration inside the house:

My stripey socks ...

Tango stripes!
Three of my stripey T-shirts. I have a few more ...
Some Paul Smith inspiration ...

The outside of my Couch Potato bag - velvet ribbon stripes on denim.

And finally, a potholder in my kitchen. (The Afrikaans word is 'vatlappie' - I love that word! Translated literally it means "a little cloth that you use to touch/take".)
Have a great stripey weekend, my dears!

That is a great word. I love stripes-I too have many stripey t-shirts. One of my favourite days at school last year was when we all dressed up as pirates. I stayed 'in role' with my pirate voice and persona all morning then pretended Miss Wallis had come back in the afternoon. Such fun! I have enjoyed looking at your colour week photos.

Very cool! 'Specially love the Tango stripes and the stripey T-shirts :) I've recently acquired a stripey top and it's fast becoming a favourite...

stripes - They are! I feel all happy and hoppity when I wear my pink and white striped T-shirt, for example.

linda sue -I was kind of surprised myself! But why do you admire me for wearing stripes? Is it a weird thing to do? I must confess that I sometimes wear weirder outfits than stripey T-shirts! PS Hope you have found those keys by now!

Sarah - You must be their favourite teacher! My goodness, I never had teachers who did fun things like that - although I had one teacher who told us stories about a little dog, Simon, who could fly helicopters. I'll always remember her for that.

heather - It is a cool bag, that. I use it as a bookbag or sometimes when I go shopping. Sometimes I pin a big old flower to it, just for fun.
kendalee - Good! What colour is your stripey top?

My stripey top is black and white -small horizontal stripes that someone at work told me are actually hoops not stripes. But I'll call them stripes if I want to!! I was also told by someone else that I look like a Russian sailor in it. Not sure how to take that one! Who knew stripes would cause so much conversation?
