A Matter of Mosaics

I love mosaics. Its messiness as a craft appeals to me, as does its ability to yield a good-looking result (with a minimum of skill on my part ...) I've made mirrors, boxes, side tables, a coffee table, and some pots (not shown here). Also our house number, which used to look rather lovely, all muted greys, greens and sandy colours with bits of mirror for sparkle and a couple of shells -in case the visitor has missed the fact that we live right next to the sea - but which I then proceeded to spoil after having realised that the postman could not see it was a 7. So I gouged out some bits and added a dark shadow. Now I have an ugly house number, but hey, the postman knows where we live! Here are some of the mosaics I've made:
Oh, and I also love Mosaic!

Ainaram, your mosaiced mosaics look fabulous! I really love seeing your artistic projects - thank you for sharing them with us. The table tops are especially beautiful and although we have not see the "before" version, so can't compare, I think the house number looks very cool too.

kendalee: Thank you, darling! But I cannot agree with you on the house number. I am thinking of doing a new one ...
